The youth activist Giyas Ibrahimov spent two hours at the Baku Police Headquarters, where they had a preventive conversation with him. At about 6 pm he left the police building and told the journalists who were waiting for him that the reason for the call was his publication on Facebook condemning the arrest of his friend and colleague Bayram Mamedov for 30 days.
In this publication, Giyas criticized the authorities, mentioning the name of the Aliyevs. The police interpreted this as disrespect for the country’s leadership, to which the activist objected that there are “many Aliyevs in the country”. The police recommended him to be more careful, because “these same Aliyevs” could harm him on the street.
