On August 11, the Khatai Court of Baku arrested Tural Atakishiev, an activist of the Popular Front Party, for 30 days. He was found guilty under the Article 535.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (failure to comply with the legal requirements of the authorities), reported the PFPA.
On August 7, Atakishiev was invited to the police, where he wrote an explanatory letter about his participation in the rally on July 14-15 in support of the army and released him. What exactly is the current violation, where and when it was manifested, is not clear. The Ministry of Internal Affairs does not provide explanations on this matter.
