[:en]On April 9, the Binagadi District Court sentenced an activist of the Movement for Democracy and Welfare Vafadar Aliyev to 30 days of arrest.

The court found him guilty under Art. 535.1 (not subordination to the police) of the Code of Administrative Offenses, the activist’s lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev told Turan.

Aliyev pleaded not guilty. The defense will appeal.

Aliyev was detained on April 8.
